
It's an extremely inexpensive personal computer, akin to a Palm but more powerful, with a color screen and multilingual voice recognition, that runs off of Linux. Rocket boots can't be far behind. (I also note that this confirms one of my personal theories: truly useful inventions are never made by the rich. The Simputer is something we've been waiting around for, say, twenty or thirty years - it initially delivers on the promise of portable computing that "The Jetsons" gave us - and who invented it? Engineers in India. Meanwhile, North America invents Napster.)
